OXO is the brainchild of Sam Farber, an American retired entrepreneur in the housewares industry. After observing his wife’s difficulty holding kitchen tools, he saw an opportunity to create more comfortable cooking tools that would benefit users.
After hundreds of models, dozens of design iterations, and extensive research the first group of 15 OXO Goods Grips® cooking tools was introduced in 1990, raising the bar for the consumer expectations of comfort and performance in everyday objects.
